Generic Model-to-Model Transformations in MDA: Why and How?Jernej KovseUniversity of KaiserslauternDept. of Computer Science (AG DBIS) P.O. The MDA makes a strong case for model-based generators that will accept a platform-specific model of a system and generate code artifacts from it. In case the systems implemented using this approach share common properties but differ in a selected set of structural and functional features, the question of dealing with variability within such a system product line emerges. This position papers introduces the notion of generic transformation in the context of MDA as a solution to this problem.in: Proc.
